Ioana Amarande is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, working in a forward-deployed role with some of the company’s largest enterprise customers. Working directly alongside customer engineering teams, she designs and builds production-ready AI solutions while providing practical security and architecture guidance.
With a background in mathematics and cryptography, Ioana developed software for high-assurance systems in defense and healthcare before joining Microsoft. Her current work with enterprise customers has broadened her perspective on applying strong engineering fundamentals to build AI solutions that are secure, reliable, and ready for production in large-scale and highly regulated environments.
Passionate about making security an enabler rather than a barrier, Ioana helps teams understand risks and translate them into pragmatic engineering decisions. She focuses on making security easier to discuss, adopt, and embed throughout the development process.
